The Essex-born former EastEnders star and reality TV favourite has criticised those in charge of the country, branding recent UK leaders a series of ‘c***s’.
Cockney actor Danny Dyer has launched a fierce criticism of the UK’s political system, saying he does not know who the country’s current Prime Minister is and claiming that he “never got to vote” for anyone.
The Essex-born former EastEnders star and reality TV favourite has voiced his frustration with those governing the country, referring to recent Prime Ministers with a series of strong insults. The outspoken rant was captured on camera, with Dyer directing crude remarks at several successive leaders after saying he had no idea who the current PM was.
Dyer was asked to share his message for Andy Burnham while attending a protest over water pollution on the Isle of Sheppey.
Speaking to BBC political reporter Michael Koehan, Dyer said: “I don’t know who the Prime Minister is, mate. Do you? Who is he?”
After the reporter told him it was Andy Burnham, Dyer responded: “Yeah, but who is he? I don’t understand. Did anyone vote for him? I mean, I didn’t vote for him.”
He then continued his criticism, saying that the country had experienced a succession of Prime Ministers whom he described using a strong expletive, adding: “End of. Put that on the BBC.”
This is not the first time the TV personality has spoken out about the country’s political situation, having previously made his views known through similarly foul-mouthed remarks.
In 2018, Dyer launched into another outspoken rant, referring to then-Prime Minister David Cameron with a strong insult and questioning why the former PM was able to relax in France “with his trotters up” while Britain dealt with the consequences of the Brexit vote.
Speaking in front of Jeremy Corbyn and Pamela Anderson on Good Evening Britain, the actor criticised Cameron for stepping down following the Brexit referendum.
“So what’s happened to that [insult] David Cameron who called it on?” Dyer asked the panel.
“Let’s be fair, how comes he can scuttle off? He called all this on, and where is he? He’s in Europe in Nice with his trotters up.
“Where is the geezer? I think he should be held accountable for it,” D
